Great local place with open coal barbecue and local produce. Mostly locals here, and the food and prices reflect that. We had grilled calamari and shrimps with garlic. The salad was fresh and tasty with local papaya, avocado, tomatoes and of course local onions. Both inside and outside seating - very simple and not fancy. Friendly family service. Highly recommended as opposed to the more touristy places in town.
A very unassuming and hard to spot restaurant.
No one spoke English but they did their best to accommodate us.
Food was decent with good portion sizes.
Plenty of parking just around the corner on the hill if the spaces out front are full.
Fantastic place to eat! Great food, staff and climate. Doesn’t look from outside but the greatness is inside. Very good prices and big dishes. Really recommend this place!
Such an interesting place and hidden from the untrained eye. Local and simple place with amazing service and good food. The prices are quite low but fitting the entire vibe of the place. The salad we had was simply delicious and should be your first on the list. But we were a bit disappointed about the grilled calamari, that was quite dry and didn't have much taste. The wine and the coffee were good, but what stood out was the extremely friendly and kind staff. We loved the place experience and would return to try the meat.
Great home made local food.
Personnel doesn't speak English, but does it's best to help you. Ordering food went smoothly. Win is ok, but food is great (and rather simple) - home made food and attentive service creates great atmosphere.
Please, note this is not fancy place at all. If you need fine dining - you better look for it in Agaete.
