Casa Romántica , an interpretation center for Canarian products, built in 1976 designed by a Swiss woman in the Agaete valley in the La Culatilla ravine, an orchard of tropical fruits and famous for its coffee and wines, in love with the environment and wanted to show it to the world through their products.
We came here for lunch and had a reservation for the terrace, which was an amazing setting—they have umbrellas providing shade from the sun.
The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain everything in detail. We chose the Tomás Morale tasting menu (they offer three tasting menus, including one for vegetarians). The complexity of flavors, the presentation, and the precise order in which each dish was served made the experience truly special.
What stood out most was the synchronized service—the staff worked seamlessly as a team, ensuring that every table received attentive and well-organized service. We also appreciated their flexibility in accommodating dietary preferences—one of us didn’t eat pork, and they replaced it with a fish dish. They also moved us to another table upon our request.
An absolute gem—perfectly executed, worth every penny, and an experience we won’t forget!
Our experience at this restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. We opted for the Tomas Morale menu, and it completely blew us away. The chef’s mastery of flavor, texture, and technique was evident in every dish—each bite was a revelation.
The terrace view is absolutely stunning, offering a serene backdrop that elevates the dining experience to something truly special. What made it even more memorable was learning about the family-owned coffee plantation and orange orchards that have been passed down through generations—a beautiful story that connects the food to its roots.
To top it all off, we ended the meal with a fascinating tour of the on-site museum. It showcased a variety of produce from the 21 municipalities across the island, offering a deeper appreciation for the rich agricultural heritage of the region. This place is not just a restaurant—it’s a journey through flavor, history, and culture. Highly recommended!
This was my favourite place we dined during our trip to Gran Canaria. Everything about it, the food, the staff and the location was delightful. The food was stylish and exciting, without being overdone. I hope to return and dine here again.
No Michelin Star, why?
Hurry up an visit Casa Romantica before they get a Michelin Star and everybody want to go there. The food is the perfect combination of international class and high quality local products. And the wine! Wonderful, complex and perfect match.
Would go there again (again)
