Once you arrive in Agaete it’s very easy to find this beach just follow the signs to the Port of Las Nieves. This pebble beach is in the same port but its waters are clear and crystal. The atmosphere is quiet and familiar and you can also enjoy eating the typical fresh fish at one of the restaurants in the area.
There are no waves on this beach and you can swim and enjoy the scenery. You can also practice paddle surfing and snorkeling.
Summer temperatures range from 26ºC to 28ºC, although they sometimes reach 30ºC. In winter, daytime temperatures range from 16ºC to 24ºC. The water temperature in summer is close to 23ºC and 19ºC in winter.
Playa de las Nieves is a popular beach located right by the harbor. It's clean and well-maintained. The surrounding village is nice, with plenty of restaurants and stunning views that add to the experience.
However, the beach itself is quite rocky, with black sand that makes it less ideal for laying out and sunbathing comfortably. If you're looking for a picturesque spot to enjoy the scenery or grab a meal nearby, it's worth a visit. But for those seeking a classic sandy beach day, this might not be the perfect choice.
On the plus side, there is an interesting view of the coast, but you won't find soft sand here and there's a ferry line and terminal right in front of you, so there won't be any top-top views.
Well worth a Visit to the Port, Fish Restaurants a beach ok for sunbathing. Not to busy during the week. Weekends its packed, with locals & you will struggle to find a place to eat as they are all full. We went to the Spar Supermarket in the end, to get some food.
