The Tamadaba Recreational Area is located in one of the most emblematic Canarian pine forests (along with Inagua) in Gran Canaria. The area has barbecues, tables, benches, water and toilets. It is not necessary to request permission to spend the day in the Tamadaba Recreational Area. There is also a camping area although for camping it is necessary to request permission.

Amazing! Felt like another world up there. Who knew Gran Canaria had such a varied and interesting landscape. I recommend going all the way to the top in the car, and then hiking out on the trails - every corner you turn and there’s a breathtaking view. Honestly a highlight of our holiday.
I visited in November 2021.
The drive up there was smooth and the views were spectacular. Once you get to the recreational area, you'll find clean toilets, running water and a well kept pine forest with designated areas for picnics.
It took us a little while to find the view point, as there were no signs to indicate where it is, but it was worth it.
This place is a must see if you're in the area.
Easy trekking paths and lovely views
The walk takes about 30 to 45min. At first you are always going downhill, therefore on the way back it is almost all the time uphill ( more effort). But at the end the view it’s amazing. Worth the effort!
Wow, it's a such beautiful place that I can't really describe it with the words. Stunning views, beautiful, perfectly maintained pine forest, great picnic and camping facilities - anything you can dream of for a weekend. I wish there were places like this in my country.
