The natural pools of Agaete popularly known by the name of “Las Salinas” are formed by three natural volcanic pools connected by submarine tunnels. They are protected from the waves especially at low tide and allow to observe some of the marine fauna of the area that enters the pools during the full tide.
It is a quiet place to spend the day, ideal for families with children as it allows the little ones to swim and have fun. They are easily accessible by walking from the Puerto de las Nieves but also have a direct access by the car.
Summer temperatures range from 26ºC to 28ºC, although they sometimes reach 30ºC. In winter, daytime temperatures range from 16ºC to 24ºC. The water temperature in summer is close to 23ºC and 19ºC in winter.

2 months agoVery nice free natural salt water pools next to the sea. There is free roadside parking leading to the pools, but the road does get a little rough. There are free bathrooms located next to it.

6 months agoA hidden gem from tourists. If you can travel there, don't hesitate. Road is a gravel path off a roundabout, ample parking down the gravel path. Scenes are fantastic. Great vibe. Swimming was obviously the best part. They also have toilets to change in if needed.

4 months agoCoast, sea and cliffs are really wonderful. Pools attract a lot of tourists, and water is not clear. Toilets available. Possible to let the car in a street before arriving at the pools, and continue by feet. Free entry. Not the best in my opinion. Prefer charco San Lorenzo some kilometers before agaete.

3 months agoThis place is so beautiful! It can get a bit crowded on the weekends but it did not bother me/us. It was very refreshing to swim in there. There’s a little kiosks where you can buy some beverages. I did not spot showers :)

a month agoA lovely place to sit, to chill, to swim in your very own seawater swimming pool.. if you get there early enough! Go early to enjoy it at its best. Paths and steps can be slippery and sharp, so swim-shoes might be useful if you are a tenderfoot. Great place to take kids, and swim in relative safety. You’ll see fish in the pools, and loads of crabs sunbathing on the rocks around you, - don’t worry, they scuttle off as soon as you get near. Not many places to stretch out, space is limited.
