Although the dam belongs to the municipality of Artenara, it adjoins the municipality of Agaete and is very close to the Hornillo neighborhood. To get to it we can do it by car or on foot if what we want is a good mountain route. It is a very quiet area and totally recommended for walking.
The landscape was wonderful in this area of several reservoirs, which still had lots of water in Christmas time. Narrow roads were challenging to drive, fortunately the traffic was very calm.
